Kevin Kinsella

Kevin Kinsella founded Avalon Ventures in 1983. Avalon has specialized in the formation of more than 100 early-stage tech and biotech companies, including Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Synaptics, Inc., Onyx Pharmaceuticals and Zynga Game Network.

Kinsella is an MIT graduate and holds an MA from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, where he serves on the Dean’s Advisory Council. He conducted post-graduate work in political economy on a Rotary International Fellowship at the University of Stockholm, Sweden.

Kinsella won the 2006 Best Musical Tony Award for producing the Broadway megahit, Jersey Boys and produced the Grammy Award-winning Jersey Boys Original Cast Recording, which has gone Double Platinum.

Mr. Kinsella is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and a member of the Broadway League (Tony voter). Kinsella Estates winery produces the highest rated Cabernet in Sonoma’s Dry Creek Valley.
