Kim Tilsen-Brave Heart, enrolled member of the Oglala Lakota Sioux Tribe, as well as Jewish a true power combination, mother of two beautiful children, and married to a wonderful hardworking Native man, lives in South Dakota.

Kim comes from a legacy of social change-makers, She is the great grand-daughter of famed author Meridel Leseaur, granddaughter to civil rights attorney Kenneth Tilsen and daughter to social entrepreneur Mark Tilsen and Environment Activist Joann Tall.

Kim is owner of Painted Skye Consulting, a small 100% Native women consulting firm that provides Value-based Facilitation, in the areas of entrepreneurship development, organizational development, financial literacy, specializing in the self-empowerment of all people, and teaching from a unique perspective of cultural based values.

Kim is very proud to be a part of the Native American Natural Foods/Tanka Bar Family. Entrepreneurship is in roots of her success. Kim was also selected as a prestigious participant of the Bush Foundations Native Nation Rebuilders Fellowship Program as well as Entrepreneur of the Year for the Pine Ridge Reservation for 2012.

She has spent the last six months as Native American instructor of the SBA’s/Interise E200 Executive Management Course for the state of South Dakota.
