Set up the Riverside School in India

In 2001 Kiran set up the Riverside School in India, which has pioneered a simplified Design Thinking approach -- a methodology that leads students to understand empathetically rather than just intellectually, and puts academic learning into a real-world context. The Design for Change curriculum as well as the Design for Change (DFC) School Challenge that she has developed have been adopted widely by schools in India and internationally. The approach encourages children to become ‘citizen leaders’ who design and implement solutions to problems they see around them.In 2001 Kiran set up the Riverside School in India, which has pioneered a simplified Design Thinking approach -- a methodology that leads students to understand empathetically rather than just intellectually, and puts academic learning into a real-world context.
