Kit Williamson

Actor, Filmmaker, Activist, Creator of "EastSiders: The Series"

Kit Williamson is an actor, writer and director living in Silver Lake, Ca. Kit can currently be seen playing copywriter Ed Gifford on the sixth season of Mad Men. He also created and starred in the indie web series “EastSiders,” a dark comedy about a gay couple dealing with the aftermath of infidelity, which has been featured in USA Today, The Advocate, Out, The Huffington Post, AfterElton, Towleroad, Queerty and many other amazing blogs. Kit began his career on Broadway, in the Tony-Nominated revival of “Talk Radio.” Other credits include “Numb3rs,” “Death Valley,” “2011 Moby Dick” (The Asylum), “Para-Normal” (Screamfest LA), “Panacea” (Sacramento Horror Fest), “The Untimely Concurrence” (AOF Fest winner, best LGBT short) and Best Friends Forever, from director Brea Grant, which will premiere at Slamdance in 2013. Other stage credits include “Made in Poland” at 59E59 and a lot of experimental, movement based theater where he made horrible faces at the audience. He can also be seen on the web in Hipsterhood: The Series, this Daywalt Fear Factory short, and this registered immortal PSA on Funny or Die. Also a playwright, his play “The Gin Dialogues” was the recipient of the Playwrights First Award from The National Arts Club. He is a member of the Katselas Playlab, the Old Vic: New Voices Network and At Play Productions. He is currently pursuing his MFA in playwriting at UCLA.
