Helping parents navigate the teen and tween years (no matter how messy it gets!) at Ten to Twenty Parenting!

Blogging since 2004 - long before "mommy blogger" was a term - much less a way of life for millions of people. Parenting the teens and tweens can be a daunting task and I think the best approach is with a healthy dose of humor. I may shoot off of an a rant on here, but as Mackenzie's Kindergarten teacher told us... you don't believe half of what you hear and I won't either.

Based in the beautiful state of NC, our family consists of three daughters aged 11, 13 and 16, a husband, a 12 year old cat (Little E) who thinks he's a dog and a 2 year old dog (Josie) who is an escape artist and a brand new kitten who has yet to get a name. (I refer to them as Josie and the Pussycats!)

I frequently speak on topics such as social media, technology, parenting and women's issues and was a top 5 finalist in the 2012 Shorty Awards for "Mom in Social Media". In 2011, I started the site Ten to Twenty Parenting which is a community site and information resource for parents of teens and tweens and the unique parenting challenges they're facing.

When I'm not playing the role of events and scheduling coordinator for my family, I'm overseeing the social media and digital marketing for Atlantic Webworks and am very active in the community.
