Marketer, poet, six-year breast cancer survivor

Kyle Potvin is a marketer, poet and six-year breast cancer survivor. She lives in New Hampshire with her husband and two sons. Her poetry has appeared in print and online publications including Measure, Tygerburning Literary Journal, The Mom Egg, JAMA (Journal of the American Medical Association), Literary Mama, Blue Unicorn, Alimentum, The Barefoot Muse, and The New York Times’ “Well” blog.

She was named a finalist for the 2008 Howard Nemerov Sonnet Award and her first poetry collection, Sound Travels on Water, comes out this month from Finishing Line Press.

Kyle is principal of a public relations firm and co-founder of The Prickly Pear Poetry Project: Processing the Cancer Experience Through Poetry. She is president of the Poetry Society of New Hampshire and helps coordinate the Robert Frost Farm's Hyla Brook Reading Series.
