Jessica Lee

Staff Attorney, Center for WorkLife Law at the University of California Hastings College of the Law

Jessica Lee is a Staff Attorney at the Center for WorkLife Law, where she works to advance gender equity in educational opportunities and in the workplace, with a particular focus on discrimination against parents. She leads the Center's Pregnant Scholar initiative, and advises university administrators, faculty, and students nationwide on legal mandates relating to pregnancy and parenting. Jessica's research focuses on the impacts of parenthood on diversity in STEM, and on the intersections of federal laws against discrimination on the basis of sex, race, and disability. Prior to joining the Center for Worklife Law, Jessica was a Bertha Fellow at the Center for Constitutional Rights, where her practice included litigation and advocacy on a broad range of human rights issues. Jessica holds a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University.
