Lela Merabishvili

Student, Activist and One Young World Delegate

Lela Merabishvili is an enthusiastic and inspiring young activist and volunteer. At the age of 17 she became an exchange student and spent a year in the United States. Lela studies at Georgian Technical University majoring in International Relations. She has worked as an intern for Training Center of Justice of Georgia. Currently Lela volunteers as a city representative of FLEX program for American Councils for International Education. She has implemented various projects in her community. Charity actions: “Action for Children” and “It’s Easter Time”. Lela also launched a four-week training program for high school, as well as, College students under the topic: “Are You a Leader?” She is also a confirmed delegate for One Young World 2012 and will be representing Georgia at the annual Summit in Pittsburgh from October 18th to 22nd. One Young World is the premier global forum for young people of leadership calibre. Its purpose is to connect and bring together the youngest, brightest and best to ensure that their concerns, opinions and solutions are heard.
