Lily Durfee

Science Policy Masters student, Georgetown University

Lily Durfee is a Science Policy Master’s student at Georgetown University and research assistant at the Potomac Institute for Policy Studies. After receiving a B.A. in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology from the University of Colorado, her educational pursuits brought her to Washington D.C., where she seeks to promote greater scientific literacy in political discourse. A native Coloradan, she is currently advocating for greater Congressional action on the issue of pine beetle devastation in the West. Lily is working with a coalition of students to promote legislation to reduce the public health and safety hazards from the pine beetle epidemic.
