Dr. Lindsay Jones-Born
Licensed Naturopathic Physician and Consulting Nutritionist for A Place for Mom

Dr. Jones-Born is a licensed Naturopathic Physician in Connecticut, and is an active member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians. She completed a 1-year primary care residency through the Bastyr University residency program specializing in Ayruveda and Naturopathic medicine.

Growing up in Seattle, she received her doctorate from Bastyr University and a BA in Dance and BA in Psychology from the University of Washington. Prior to pursuing her naturopathic medical degree, she was a certified EMT, Orangutan Unit Keeper Aid at the Woodland Park Zoo and worked for the University of Washington Athletic Department.

While at Bastyr University she gained experience in other areas of medicine through her work in Laboratory Medicine at the University of Washington Medical Center, Experimental Histopathology at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, as a research assistant for Alan R. Gaby, MD and by precepting over 210 hours with other healthcare providers including MD’s, ND’s, PhD’s and ARNP’s.

Dr. Jones-Born utilizes integrative medicine to focus on acute and chronic diseases, gynecological issues, weight management & detoxification and stress management. Her clinical interest is in women’s health, geriatric medicine, family medicine and underserved populations.

Dr. Jones-Born has served as a supervising physician for the Alternative Healthcare Access Campaign (AHAC), a non-profit organization committed to increasing the accessibility of alternative healthcare for homeless and low-income individuals in the Seattle area.

In addition, Dr. Jones-Born has extensive knowledge in Ayurveda, Biotherapeutic Drainage, Homeopathy, Physical Medicine, Diet and Nutrient therapies. She has completed an additional 144 hours of training in classical homeopathy with the New England School of Homeopathy.

She emphasizes practicing medicine with passion and compassion, and to always strive to help people find the answers for which they are searching.

When not in the medical word, Dr. Jones-Born enjoys reading, spending time with her husband, 3 adopted Persian cats and time in the great outdoors riding horses.
