Lisa Besaw

RN

Lisa Besaw was born and raised in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. She is the proud mom of Shelby, Chris and Skylar. She became a RN in 1983. Lisa has worked in multiple medical specialty areas, with the most recent being in cancer care. She wanted to be a nurse since she was a young girl watching Major Margaret Houlihan’s character on the TV series MASH. The relationships she saw between the doctors, nurses and patients on that show hooked her. The actual relationships she developed with her own patients and colleagues while working as a nurse, would ultimately be what created the passion she feels for her work. Lisa enjoys yoga, meditation, dancing to her iPod while doing housework, spending time with her family/friends, container gardening, watercolor painting, expanding her spirituality and she’s beginning to learn to play guitar. Recently, she became aware of many valuable lessons while she was on the other side of the healthcare system, as a patient. The experience literally changed her life. Her hope is that through her journey, she may ultimately help someone else.
