Domestic Violence Survivor

Lori is a 10-year domestic violence survivor. During her 18-year marriage, she was physically, mentally, emotionally and financially abused. Since breaking free in 2005, Lori’s road to independence has not been easy, but she has managed to leverage the pains of her past into activism that brings help and hope to other women enduring financial abuse. Lori recently graduated from the University of Michigan School of Social Work, serves as an Allstate Foundation Purple Purse spokesperson and sits on the board of the Michigan Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence.
