Mandeep Singh
Student at Columbia University
Mandeep Singh is a senior at Columbia University. He is majoring in Urban Studies (with a specialization in Political Science) and Business Management. Apart from his academic pursuits, he is involved with a variety of social advocacy, diversity and community engagement initiatives. In the Fall of 2013, he studied abroad in Brazil, South Africa and Vietnam with IHP Cities in the 21st Century.
He is the co-founder of Columbia University Sewa, an organization based on the universal values of community service, social justice and equality. Originally from New York, Mandeep is a community organizer with SEVA NY and a youth member of the Richmond Hill Democratic Club. In addition, he is a graduate of the Sikh American Legal Defense and Education Fund's Leadership Development Program and is an alumnus of the Young People For Fellowship.
