Marc Anderson

Director, M2 Foundation

Marc Anderson has a distinguished career as a percussionist, composer, record producer, educator, zen priest and spiritual leader. Having toured the world and performed on more than 300 recordings with many notable artists including Steve Tibbetts, Don Cherry, Max Roach, Garrison Keillor and The Minnesota Orchestra.

His artistic voice is refined, distinctive and mature.

Mr. Anderson is the Director of the M2 Foundation, a non-profit organization that teaches mindful arts in schools, community and the workplace. In that capacity, he leads retreats, teaches classes and lectures on the practices of meditation, non-violent communication and community sustainability. He also serves as an adjunct professor at Hamline University in St. Paul.

Mr. Anderson has received support for his work from: The Minnesota State Arts Board, The McKnight Foundation, The Composers Forum, The Jerome Foundation, Trust For The Meditation Process, The McNeely Foundation and The Buuck Family Foundation.
