Margaret Lazarus Dean is the author of The Time It Takes to Fall (Simon & Schuster), a novel about the Challenger disaster. She holds a BA from Wellesley College and and MFA from the University of Michigan.

She is working on a nonfiction book about the fifty-year era of American spaceflight, scheduled to end this summer with the last space shuttle launch. She teaches at the University of Tennesee and lives in Knoxville. See more at www.margaretlazarusdean.com.
