Dr. Marilyn Black, LEED AP, is the founder of Air Quality Sciences and Greenguard Environmental Institute, now part of UL, a global independent safety science company. Dr. Black is a global expert on indoor air quality and product emissions. She founded the GREENGUARD Certification programs for the selection of environmentally preferred, low-emitting products and has directed several studies on indoor air pollution and its effects on human health, sustainable buildings and environments. Dr. Black holds multiple degrees in chemistry and environmental health and sits on numerous national and international committees serving to protect human health.
