Mario Molina

Professor at the University of California, San Diego and the Scripps Institution of Oceanography

Professor Mario Molina won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his pioneering work on ozone-depleting gases. Prof. Molina is currently professor at the University of California, San Diego and the Scripps Institution of Oceanography. He has received numerous awards for his contributions to science, including over 30 honorary degrees and the Presidential Medal of Freedom. He serves on President Obama's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology and is climate policy adviser to President Enrique Pena Nieto of Mexico.
