Marjorie Greenfield, MD

Dr. Marjorie Greenfield is director of the division of general obstetrics and gynecology at University Hospitals (UH) Case Medical Center where she is a renowned expert in pregnancy and the workplace. Her areas of specialty include obstetrics and pediatric and adolescent gynecology.

Dr. Greenfield’s writing career began as the director of obstetrics and gynecology for the Dr. Spock Company, where she wrote hundreds of articles for drspock.com and answered scores of “ask our experts” questions. Her first book, Dr. Spock's Pregnancy Guide, was published in 2003. Her second, The Working Woman’s Pregnancy Book, was released in 2008. The updated Kindle-only version of The Working Woman's Pregnancy Book was released in October 2015.

Dr. Greenfield has received awards and honors for excellence in education and leadership including Best Doctors in America, Americas’ Top Doctors, Patients’ Choice Award, AOL Digital City Top Doctor, Cleveland Magazine Best Doctors, Northern Ohio Live Magazine Top Docs, Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) School of Medicine Alumni Board Service Award, CWRU Scholarship in Teaching Award, CWRU Women Faculty Toyoko Yamashita Service Award, CWRU School of Medicine Gender Equity Award, CWRU School of Medicine, Kaiser Permanente Teaching Excellence Award, Council of Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology National Faculty Award for Excellence in Resident Education, and the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics Excellence in Teaching Award.

Dr. Greenfield earned her MD from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the UH Case Medical Center and MetroHealth Medical Center. She is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society and the Society for Academic Specialists in General Obstetrics and Gynecology.
