Charles Howard Candler Professor of Psychology--Emory University

Marshall P. Duke, Charles Howard Candler Professor of Psychology, received his B.A. in general psychology from Rutgers University and his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Indiana University. Following two years of service as a psychologist in the United States Army, he joined the Emory faculty in 1970. He has studied a variety of family issues, first as a member of Emory’s psychology faculty, then as a core faculty member with The Emory Center for Myth and Ritual in American Life (MARIAL). He is the author of over 100 research articles and seven books.
