Mary Pleshette Willis is a freelance writer who has published in the New York Times, MORE Magazine, AARP, The Readers Digest and O Magazine. She wrote teleplays for ABC, CBS, NBC and HBO and won an Emmy for the afternoon special "Wanted: The Perfect Guy." Her first novel, Papa's Cord, was published by Alfred A. Knopf in 1999. She is presently working on a second novel.
