Marynell Henry

Co-founder, Scituate C.O.R.S.E. Foundation; mother of an autistic son

Marynell Henry, from Scituate, Mass., is a mother of two children. Her son was diagnosed with autism. In February 2006 she co-founded the Scituate C.O.R.S.E. Foundation (Community of Resources for Special Education). The C.O.R.S.E Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, raises funds to provide the highest-quality educational, social, and recreational community experiences so children with special needs can reach their full potential. Marynell has been honored with the 2009 Scituate Citizens of the Year Award (co-founder) and the 2008 Massachusetts Community Partnership Award from the Federation for Children with Special Needs. Prior to co-founding C.O.R.S.E, Marynell worked in retail merchandising and management for 10 years. Marynell is a graduate of the University of Dayton, with a degree in business administration.
