MATTHEW FILIPOWICZ is a comedian, cartoonist, satirist and host of the Matthew Filipowicz Show.

Matthew was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska and has been writing and performing comedy in one form or another since he was seventeen. His work has been featured on CNN, NPR, PBS, HBO, BBC, Ain’t It Cool News, the online versions of the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Atlantic and the London Times, as well as the Thom Hartmann Show, the Young Turks, and Ring Of Fire Radio. He has created cartoons for the Nation Institute, VoteVets, the ACLU-SC, NYSUT, Mother Jones Magazine, Netroots Nation, MoveOn.org, the Center for Media and Democracy, and the National Conference For Media Reform.

He is a regular correspondent and sometimes guest-host for Ring of Fire Radio, and is the head of Chicago's Drinking Liberally and Laughing Liberally chapters. You can see him performing regularly in Chicago with his comedy group, the Accountants of Homeland Security.
