Psychotherapist, wellness coach, writer. NYC. Imperfect in every way; still worthy. We're all in this together.
Megan Bruneau, M.A. RCC is a psychotherapist, wellness coach, and writer in New York City. After a decade-long struggle with perfectionism-fueled anxiety, depression, and eating disorders, Megan discovered the life-changing intervention she now uses with clients: Self-compassion. Realizing how impactful it can be, Megan began to weave the Buddhist teachings she's learned through her journey into her articles.
Megan has worked in the fitness, yoga, and nutrition industries, ,and believes happiness is greatly influenced by holistic well-being. She is neither for nor against medicating mental illness, but she is against pathologizing normal human experience and medicating normal human feelings.
Originally from British Columbia, Megan has a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Simon Fraser University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Family Studies from the University of British Columbia.
