Michael Waterman, L.Ac.

Michael is co-founder of Olo Acupuncture, a New York City-based acupuncture clinic located in downtown Manhattan. Olo Acupuncture uses the Community Acupuncture model, which provides treatments in a group setting, making the health and wellness benefits of acupuncture available at an affordable price.

Born and raised in New York City, Michael ventured out to California for both his undergraduate and graduate degrees, graduating from Pitzer College with a BA in Environmental Studies, and the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine with a Masters of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Michael is a Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.) in New York and California, and board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (NCCAOM).

Michael's commitment to economic and social justice issues extends beyond his work in complementary and alternative health. He is a board member of the North Star Fund, a nonprofit that supports New York City's grassroots community groups organizing for economic and social justice, as well as a founding board member of TIGRA Promotions, Inc., a benefit corporation based in Oakland California that promotes socially responsible financial products and services for transnational families.
