Michael Zahler

Writer, Singer, Mental Health Survivor, Worshipper of Live Theatrical Performance.

Michael grew up on the Upper West Side of Manhattan where he attended LaGuardia High School of Performing Arts. A proud graduate of the University of Michigan Musical Theatre Department, Michael performs in concert in New York City, most recently at Feinstein's/54 Below. Alongside Music Director Will Van Dyke, he created the solo shows "Still It's True," "No More Upside Down," and "Here I Go," as well as "Songs Barbara Taught Us," a tribute to legendary singer Barbara Cook. Currently a contented resident of Jersey City, Michael is at work on his first play, workshopped at Fine Arts Work Center and with Writing By Writers.
