Miguel A. Columna Rodríguez is Founder of Columna Strategies LLC. A Duke University Fuqua School of Business MBA graduate, he is a previous Co-Founder and first Managing Director of ConPRmetidos, a Millenials-led Think-and-Do Tank developing innovative public-private partnerships to advance the economic development of Puerto Rico. He writes about ideas, models and best practices in social innovation and social entrepreneurship that can benefit communities. Prior to ConPRmetidos, he was the Special Assistant to the Chairman & Chief of Staff of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission. Miguel’s passion for public service, concern for Puerto Rico’s social and economic development, and awareness of the need for social innovation in the Island led him to join a team of Millennials-dedicated to enhance the economic development of the Island. Miguel is an Aspen Institute Scholar, a World Economic Forum (WEF) Global Shaper, Member of the WEF Global Agenda Council on Migration 2014-2016 and part of the Forum's Expert Network. He earned a B.A. in Economics, Political Science and Philosophy from the American University in Washington, D.C.
