Nsenga K. Burton, Ph.D. is founder & editor-in-chief of the award-winning news publication The Burton Wire. A cultural and media critic, Dr. Burton is an expert in the intersection of race, class, gender and sexuality and media with a focus on popular culture and issues of representation. An award-winning journalist and entrepreneur, she is a faculty member at the Cox Institute for Journalism, Innovation, Management & Leadership at the Henry W. Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Georgia, where she serves as Digital Editor of Grady Newsource. In addition to being the author of numerous articles, Nsenga regularly appears on television, radio and new media as an expert commentator.
