Patrick Robbins

Writer, researcher and activist

Patrick Robbins is a writer, researcher and activist based in Brooklyn. He received his MA in Climate and Society from Columbia University and has worked for the past two years at the Cooper Union Institute for Sustainable Design. His particular area of interest is in climate communications, and he has worked for ICLEI USA and other organizations to research best practices in communicating both the science and the social context of climate change. Additionally, he has presented his own independent teach-in on climate change - "The Climate Apocalypse, with Booze and Cookies" - at various radical venues around NYC.

As an activist, Patrick is involved with groups including 350.org, Occupy the Pipeline, Sane Energy Project and various Occupy-affiliated projects. He was born and raised in New York City.
