Paula Garrett, is a mother, a wife, and an academic. She is Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the College at Warren Wilson College. She has published in nineteenth-century American studies and in law, particularly on laws regarding artificial insemination. She and her partner are married in some states but not in others.
