Rachel Zuckerman graduated from the University of Iowa in May 2017 with degrees in political science and journalism, as well as a certificate in cultural competence. Last year she represented over 24,000 of her peers as Student Body President. Under Rachel's leadership, University of Iowa Student Government focused on issues including college affordability, mental health, diversity and inclusion, preventing sexual assault, and food and housing security. Rachel is passionate about representation in politics, especially for women, minorities, and young people. She is from a suburb of Detroit, Michigan and looks forward to contributing to Detroit's successful and equitable revitalization.
