Rebecca Searles is a science journalist and the Editorial Director at Experiment, a crowdfunding platform for science research. Previously she was a social community editor at the The Huffington Post, where she founded HuffPost's Girls in STEM Mentorship Program. Prior to her stint at The Huffington Post she interned at Psychology Today, and she continues to blog for them at The Stone Age Mind. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with dual degrees in Biology and Psychology. Rebecca is fascinated by the intersections of evolution, psychology, and tech, and continues to explore these topics in her writing. She lives in San Francisco, but is originally from the mountains of Asheville, North Carolina.
