Roberto Lovato is a writer and commentator at New America Media, a strategy consultant and a Co-Founder of Presente.org, the country's pre-eminent online Latino advocacy organization, with a membership of over 300,000 people. In 2011, he was awarded a crisis reporting grant from the Pulitzer Center for his reporting on the drug war in Latin America.He's written for national and international media outlets including the Associated Press, the Los Angeles Times, the San Francisco Chronicle, Mother Jones, Salon, Der Spiegel, La Opinion, and many other news organizations .
