Jointed the University of Washington faculty in 1972 following doctoral studies at the University of California, Berkeley. Conducted a series of federally-funded studies of marijuana dependence behavioral interventions for adults and adolescents. Author of MARIJUANA NATION: ONE MAN'S CHRONICLE OF AMERICA GETTING HIGH - FROM VIETNAM TO LEGALIZATION (Pegasus, 2014).
