Ruth Akers

Ruth Akers is a 28-year-old writer and child of hard working parents who moved all over the United States--13 states by the time she was 16. She likes to write about people, for people, to please people, and to make people mad, (mostly the aforementioned parents). She discovered at the age of 19 what those same parents had told her for years: sex leads to babies.

Akers gave birth to her first son at 20, and so began the eventual descent into the abyss that was her morbid obesity, and constant state of depression. Solace, for Akers, came in the form of food and blogging.

She now has 4 kids, a husband in the Army, mountains of laundry and stretch marks, as well as minimal tolerance for anyone and anything that screams, whines, or requires a diaper.
