Ryan Cohen

Fulbright-García Robles Scholar

Ryan Cohen is a social impact strategist, lawyer, and policy analyst based in Mexico City, Mexico. Originally from Los Angeles, her work focuses on increasing opportunity and inclusivity in cities via access to quality education, housing, fair justice systems, and nutritious food. She has worked for government (local and federal) and nonprofits (ACLU of Michigan, Public Counsel, Taproot Foundation), and has served as a consultant for social impact organizations. During her Fulbright-García Robles Scholarship, Ryan is conducting research about how the local government in Mexico City can scale and support innovative efforts to advance social mobility. She is hosted by Instituto Mexicano para la Competitividad (IMCO), Fundación Idea, and Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM). Ryan received her J.D. from Harvard Law School, Masters in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School, and B.A. from U.C. Berkeley. You can learn more about her work at www.ryanashleycohen.com.
