Sandy Valenciano
Statewide Coordinator - California Immigrant Youth Justice Alliance

Sandy Valenciano was born in Zacatecas, Mexico. She immigrated to the United States when she was 4 years old, along with her family. She graduated from Antioch High School in 2011 completed her B.A in psychology at Sonoma State University. She believes in the importance of community education and empowerment. She hopes to one day become a therapist and advocate for access to mental health for all. Sandy started organizing being part of DREAM Alliance of Sonoma County in 2011. Sandy is CIYJA's Statewide Coordinator and hopes to engage new people to join the movement by expanding CIYJA's resources and trainings.
