Advocate for individuals with disabilities
Sarah Blahovec is a recent graduate and aspiring disability advocate. Once informed by her violin teacher that her Crohn's Disease made her "too sick" to successfully pursue a degree in International Studies, Sarah graduated from American University's School of International Service in 2014. She is interested in finding solutions to the challenges that individuals with disabilities face in the process of creating stimulating, meaningful careers.
A native of Western Pennsylvania, Sarah now lives in the D.C. area and enjoys learning about foreign policy, playing violin, reading, knitting, and cheering on the Pittsburgh Penguins.
