Scout has appeared on NPR, The Larry King Live Show, the Melissa Harris Perry Show, and has been interviewed dozens of newspapers. His work has won him recognition from the U.S. House of Representatives, two state governments, and many city governments. He received his Ph.D. from Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University. He is a frequent public speaker and runs Lincoln Woods Consulting. He does grant writing, health policy analysis, and provides training and technical assistance to a variety of nonprofits.
