Soumaya Ghannoushi is a British Tunisian thinker and writer. She publishes in English and Arabic and her writings have appeared in such leading international publications as the Guardian, the Independent, Aljazeera.net and Al Quds among others Having studied philosophy for her bachelors and masters degrees at the University of London, Soumaya Ghannoushi, then specialized in the Middle East. Among the topics she has addressed in her writings are Islam and reform, the conditions and position of Muslim women, the politics of the Middle East, problems of change and democratisation in the Arab region, and the war on terror and its impact on Muslim minorities and western-Muslim relations.
