Stacie Gillian has been entrenched in the fashion, entertainment and publishing community since 1996 when she began editing manuscripts for the Syracuse University Press. Her writing has been published in such outlets as SOMA Magazine as well as on Tyra Banks network, expertise featured in Inside Science, and work has been highlighted in Life & Style and Glamour magazine.
Gillian has worked on sourcing and producing runway collections for renowned designers such as Sean “Puffy” Combs for Sean John, Catherine Malandrino and Donna Karan. In 2006 she joined the communications and strategy team at Brand Building Communications as a Public Relations Manager and quickly moved on to become the Director of Strategic Partnerships and VIP Outreach, brokering deals between clients and such celebrities as Jennifer Hudson, Jennifer Connelly and Natalie Portman. She has created brand identity and media awareness for charity: water, Damon Dash, Rachel Roy, Cynthia Steffe, Jessica Robinson jewelry, Black Halo and Kwiat Diamonds (owner of Fred Leighton). Additionally, Gillian has built communications strategy for and awareness around new athletes such as Nike professional BMX rider Nigel Sylvester, as well as with food, health and beauty brands like L’Oreal Paris, Bausch & Lomb and Mars Snack Foods. During 2011, she diversified her portfolio of clients and began working with a small roster of highly talented musicians and artists including Ryan Leslie.
Her focus is building brands from the ground up, and creating a foundation for domestic and international awareness that will spawn pop-culture movements as well as to positively impact their bottom line. On behalf of clients, Gillian works closely with branding experts and media outlets encompassing the Good Morning America, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, USA Today, GQ, Vogue (US, Italian, Spanish, Australian, Indian and Russian editions), Harper’s Bazaar (US, Italian, Spanish, Australian and Russian editions), Elle Magazine (US, Japanese, Australian and Russian editions), Tatler (Russian, British and Indian editions), L’Officiel, Vanity Fair, Interview, ESPN, People Magazine, US Weekly, Billboard and more. She has a strong understanding of social media and viral marketing industries, and works closely with clients to build a ground swell of interest with target consumers by utilizing the digital arena.
Her passion is writing, and she is currently working on a book highlighting short stories of success told to her by cancer survivors.
A graduate of Syracuse University and New York University, she obtained degrees in English Textual Studies and a Masters certificate in Publishing respectively.
