Staness Jonekos is an award-winning television executive producer, writer, director, a two time published author on women's health, and creator/founder of Eat Like a Woman® a Nutritional Lifestyle by Nessta Life™.

She was one of the original executive producers who launched the television network Oxygen Media, co-founded by Oprah Winfrey, Jerry Laybourne, Tom Werner, and Marcy Carsey. Staness was instrumental in Oxygen Media’s Be Fearless campaign to empower women.

Ms. Jonekos also executive produced Oxygen Media’s Just Cause featuring celebrities and their causes, Who Does She Think She Is?! profiling powerful women; Worth the Risk an investigation of women’s rights globally in collaboration with Peter Gabriel; Inhale power yoga to rock and roll music; and Oxygen Women’s Forum with Vice-President Al Gore.

Prior credits include producer, director and/or writer for: MTV’s Road Rules (Season 4, Episode #407 won a Prism Award), ABC’s half hour reality pilot Young Cops and Wallet Roulette, WE’s Savvy, A&E’s L.A. Detectives and Sons of Hollywood, Discovery Channels Impact and Head to Head, A&E’s two hour special Conspiracies, and Travel Channel’s Travel Daily.

Founder of Krystal Productions, Ms. Jonekos’ commercial credits include an award-winning anti-smoking PSA for the State of California, Ford Trucks, Nabisco Lifesavers, The Westin Hotels, ESPN roller hockey, GTE, Visa “Mileage Checking,” American Savings Bank, the Hilton Hotels, and Technicolor, which won an Addy Award. She also contributed to a Telly Award winning travel in-flight entertainment for America West Airlines and ATA.

Following her commitment to health, Staness co-executive produced the Premiere season of VH1’s Celebrity Fit Club, and post produced Lifetime’s Speaking of Women’s Health.

Her first book, The Menopause Makeover® co-authored with Wendy Klein MD, was a pioneering working in the field of menopause, a highly visual and inspiring survival guide that challenged the conventional, old-style approach to managing menopause.

Eat Like a Woman® and Never Diet Again, her second book co-authored by Marjorie Jenkins MD, is her second book and celebrates the latest science in women’ s health. Released by Harlequin in 2014, it is based on the latest research showing that men and women metabolize food and lose weight differently.
