Adventure Travel & Wine Journalist ~ Specialty: "Detox to Retox"

Stefani Jackenthal is an adventure travel & wine journalist and elite endurance athlete, who has competed and reported from around the world. Detox to Retox is Stefani’s lifestyle and journalistic niche - writing about outdoor activities in wine regions and seeking out sporty, sipping travel destinations. She has contributed to The New York Times, New York Post, Wine Enthusiast, Outside and beyond. Blending her passions, Stefani penned Wanderlust Wining (Price World Publishing), a fun, delicious guide to outdoor activities, wineries and restaurants in wine regions across the USA. She is a frequent on-air storyteller for Travel Channel's "Mysteries at the Monument" series, airing Friday night at 9:00pm EST and has reported for NPR. Stefani owns NTS Wine Tasting LLC, a wine tasting company, which creates entertaining and informative wine tastings, dinners and educational classes. She also writes restaurant wine lists and teaches wine tasting class at 92Y in NYC. A former nationally ranked road cyclist, Stefani turned to multisport, participating in global adventure races, then becoming an All American triathlete and international champion ultrarunner. Recently, she returned to the triathlon race circuit. Stefani has raced in South Africa, Borneo, Ecuador, Costa Rica, China, Europe, USA, and beyond. She was part of Eric Weinhmayer’s Climb Higher team, taking six blind Tibetan teenagers on a trekking expedition to the peak of Lhakpa Ri (23,000 ft) in Tibet, which was made into the move BLINDSIGHT and she reported about for NPR. Stefani regularly SUPs and surfski kayaks on the Hudson River and sips wine at local wine bars in NYC, where she lives.
