CEO, Kensington Publishing
Steven Zacharius is the Chairman, President and CEO of Kensington Publishing Corp. Kensington is one of the last remaining large privately owned book publishers in the U.S. and is the largest privately owned mass market publishing company. Prior to joining Kensington over 20 years ago, he owned a printing brokerage firm, specializing in printing promotional material for the leading New York publishing houses. Before starting his own company, he was the Director of Manufacturing for Rolling Stone magazine. His interest in print manufacturing began when he worked as an Associate at Jules Kroll Associates, Inc., the leading worldwide investigator of white-collar crime; where he performed audits to uncover payoffs in the printing industry. Steven is the son of the late Walter Zacharius, the founder of Kensington Publishing Corp. His son, Adam Zacharius, has been working at Kensington for 7 years.
