Founder - Essay Therapy, Writer, Professor, Associate Dean of Students

Suzanne Hegland is the founder of Essay Therapy, a unique one-on-one approach to helping students tell their own compelling stories. She recently completed her MFA at Lesley University and is currently working on Comfort Measures Only, her exploration of a volatile mother-daughter friendship, replete with brownie binges and cabernet escapades, diets and detox. Suzanne serves as the token non-musician at New England Conservatory, where she is the Assistant Dean of Students and a Liberal Arts faculty member. Her writing has appeared in The Boston Globe, The World Scholar, Femamom.com, and –- in her imagination –- on Oprah’s bookshelf.
