Mr. Ressler is the Managing Partner of Ares Management and functions as a Senior Partner in the Private Equity Group. Mr. Ressler is a Senior Advisor to the Ares Capital Markets Group and also serves on the Investment Committee on all Ares Private Equity and Private Debt Funds. Prior to Ares, Mr. Ressler was a co-founder of Apollo Management, L.P. in 1990 and was a member of the original six-member management team. Prior to 1990, Mr. Ressler served as a Senior Vice President in the High Yield Bond Department of Drexel Burnham Lambert Incorporated, with responsibility for the New Issue/Syndicate Desk. Mr. Ressler serves on the boards of several private companies. Mr. Ressler is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the center for Early Education, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (“LACMA”), the Alliance for College-Ready Public Schools and is involved in the U.S. Chapter of Right to Play (formerly know as Olympic Aid), an international humanitarian organization that is committed to improving the lives of the most disadvantaged children through sports and play, currently operating in over 20 countries worldwide. Mr. Ressler is also one of the founding members of the Board of Directors of the Painted Turtle Camp, a $40 million southern California based facility created to serve children dealing with chronic and life threatening illnesses by creating memorable, old-fashioned camping experiences. Mr. Ressler received his BSFS from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and received his MBA from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business. Mr. Ressler lives in Los Angeles with his wife and three sons.
