Tony Sachs

Drinker of Spirits, Listener of Music, Watcher of Baseball, Writer of Words

Tony Sachs has been writing about spirits and cocktails, among other subjects, since 2007, after the independent record store he owned and operated on Manhattan's Upper West Side went the way of most other independent record stores. Aside from HuffPost, Tony writes frequently for Robb Report online. He has also written for Serious Eats, Wine Enthusiast, Complex Magazine and Bar Magazine, to name a few. He is the "as-told-to" guy for the autobiography of pianist/songwriter/performer/raconteur Irving Fields, The Pianos I Have Known.

Tony lives in Manhattan with his wife, daughter and cat. He is slightly obsessed with the New York Yankees, Frank Sinatra and dumplings. He can often be found at his home, trying to create the perfect mai tai.
