Wayne L. Firestone

Wayne is the CEO of DC based International Lifeline Fund-- an innovative humanitarian development organization that seeks to spark catalytic change in local communities by implementing low-cost and highly replicable interventions to improve the quality of human life in Africa and Haiti. A highly respected professional figure in global non-profits and a Kogod Entrepreneur Fellow at the American University Business School, Mr. Firestone joined Lifeline in 2015 following a prestigious career which includes his most recent role as President of the Genesis Prize Foundation and a seven-year tenure as President and Chief Executive Officer of Hillel International.

Mr. Firestone is an active community leader serving as a board member for the National Association of Urban Debate Leagues, an advisory council member for Repair the World, a participant in the Aspen Institute’s Inclusive America Project and a member of the Society for International Development Washington, D.C. Chapter. In addition to his professional and community leadership roles, Mr. Firestone is also an author having published more than 100 articles on emerging adults, higher education, religion and international development trends.

Mr. Firestone earned his Juris Doctorate from the Georgetown University Law Center and was a Harry S Truman Presidential Scholar and Phi Beta Kappa at the University of Miami. Wayne is a weekend yoga and bicycling enthusiast.
