Yaa-Hemaa Obiri-Yeboah is a Ghanaian-born, Vancouver-raised Rhodes Scholar and graduate of the University of Oxford and the University of British Columbia. She works as a Senior Trade Policy Officer for the federal public service and is the author of The Y Variable blog (www.theyvariable.com), a weekly digest of conversational musings on day-to-day issues. Yaa-Hemaa is an executive member of Ottawa Young Black Professionals, the Canadian Association of Rhodes Scholars, and the Ottawa Oxford University Society. She is also an avid classical pianist and jazz singer.
