Yehudit Feinstein-Mentesh

Israeli-American Council Regional Director in New York.

Yehudit Feinstein-Mentesh is the Israeli-American Council (IAC) Regional Director in New York. Born and raised in Israel, Yehudit relocated to New York City in 2000 to pursue a BFA from the School of Visual Arts and holds a MA in Psychoanalysis from the Boston Graduate School of Psychoanalysis. An acclaimed visual artist, Yehudit has also worked in Israeli and Jewish education since 2002 when she joined the teaching staff of Congregation Beth Elohim in Brooklyn. In 2010 Yehudit founded Israelis in Brooklyn - a groundbreaking organization dedicated to creating community among Israeli and Americans through innovative programming focused on Hebrew language, Israeli cultural and Jewish heritage. In addition to her work with Israelis in Brooklyn, Yehudit has extensive educational experience, teaching in Israeli high schools, serving as an Educational Officer in the IDF as well as teaching at BIMA, a Jewish arts summer program at The Berkshire Institute for Music and Art, Gan Shalom and at various Jewish and art programs throughout Manhattan. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband and three sons.
