Zand B. Martin

Faculty member, National Outdoor Leadership School, freelance writer

Zand B. Martin has not had a permanent mailing address in three years. The winds of work and play have sent him all over the Western Hemisphere, from Arctic Canada to the Sea of Cortez. His most recent expedition was a 4,300 mile solo crossing of North America by canoe from Portland, Oregon to Portland, Maine. His work, dreams, and vacations all look fairly similar: fresh air, wild country, and good food.

He is on the faculty of the National Outdoor Leadership School, and is a freelance writer. He currently resides in New Zealand.
